Our story
Invented by Shay Philips. Made for candle lovers.
ALEC was founded by Shay Philips, who invented its self-closing, timed candle lid. The design is protected by U.S. Patent No. 10,544,938 and European Patent EP 3491291.
The idea is simple: keep the warm glow of a real candle, and let the holder put the flame out for you at the time you choose. ALEC is a glass holder for the jar candles you already own, with a timer on the base and a lid that closes over the candle when time is up.
Every ALEC is designed to look like part of your room rather than a gadget, in black, silver or white, with a matte or gloss finish.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. The timer and lid are a convenience, not a replacement for supervision. Follow the safety instructions included with ALEC.
